Dave Ramstad

Meet Dave Ramstad, one of the founding members of Cascade Austin Healey club. In the mid to late 1970’s Dave, and a number of other Austn Healey owners in the Pacific Northwest decided to get together and share the love of driving our cars and socializing. The group was not a formal club. There were no meetings, no officers, just people who loved the marquee. Originally associated with the Pacific Center, the group grew. In 1986 they decided to become recognized by Washington State as a Non-Profit entity.

Dave’s car was a Golden Beige 3000 MK III.  He enjoyed showing the car as well as driving.

In Eureka, California, he was congratulated personally by Donald Healey. They had a long personal relationship. Dave accumulated a large collection of material, books, manuals, sales brochures and personal correspondence with Donald and others related to our Austin Healeys. A few years ago, he donated that collection to the cascade Austin Healey Club. You can see an index of this material in a previous post here in this group.
