Frank: Thank you. Got a similar update from Steve Day.

"The 2 flaps are for securing the tonneau to the bulkhead. The bulkhead is the vertical body panel immediately behind the 2 seats, that bulkhead should have 4 studs mounted to it about 1/3 of the way from the floor, 2 behind each seat. The flaps have 4 female snaps, 2 on each flap, placed to mate up with the male studs in the bulkhead.

When the tonneau is not desired for one or both sides, it is folded under and the flaps snap to the studs and secure the tonneau for travel.

Not altogether necessary but nice to have.

Cars that have been "restored" may be missing the male studs, new tonneau`s always come w/out snaps installed so you can match the position of the male studs on your car." Steve Day British Car Ranch
