Lyman, Bruce T. and I met up in Deming Daturday at 6:30 for our trip to ABFM, then down Hwy 9 to Hwy 20 and stopped for breakfast, and met John C. in his "new" 100 (from Doug Miller), in Burlington. Took I-5 to Hwy 104 then down to the lake and up the hill to St. Edwards SP about 9am. Great turnout of big Healeys and Sprites along with about 300+ other British makes. Enjoyed the Bond theme this year, the chit chat with Healey froends, and the weather was almost perfect. Lyman and John won trophies in our group, probably Bruce too. Unfortuantely the ride home via I-5 was a nightmare for Bruce and I, doing up to 75 in the middle lane in heavy traffice for 40 miles until we cleared Smokey Pt. We had great weather and beautiful twisty country roads yesterday for this year's event. Unfortunately only 3 Healeys were in attendance, Mark Tomilinson with his grandson Ryan on his birthday, John and Karen Snapp, and Terry and Dee Brunner, plus Nick and Edie Horn without their Healey (It's in the shop). Close to 100 cars joined in the Rallye in two separate but similar routes going in opposite directions, so you're always seeing cool old cars going every which way. We chose to leave when we finished so missed saying goodby to club members so we could get back to Bellingham to see our grandson play soccer.
