SOVREN Races at Pacific NW Raceways

SOVREN (Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts) has extended an invitation to the Cascade Austin Healey Club to come out to their Fall Finale races on Sunday, September 24th at Pacific Raceways in Kent. CAHC members will park on the grass in the racing paddock and have full access to watch the races and explore the cars in the paddock, and talk with drivers and crew. There is a strong contingent of Sprite and MG Midget racers in the group, including CAHC club member Loren Campbell.  Parade lap participants will need to sign a waiver. Driving will be at a safe, manageable speed, and faster than an actual parade.

NOTE: This is a two day event.  We are invited into the paddock and on the track on Sunday only.

Additionally, CAHC club members will be able to take their street cars onto the track at lunchtime for two ‘parade laps’ around the fun and technical 2.25 mile road course. There is no better way to get a feel for this unique track than to drive it yourself. Members will be paced by CAHC member and SOVREN racer Loren Campbell in his blue Bugeye race car.

You’ll see everything from Corvettes and Mustangs and other ‘big bore’ (and loud) cars, to Sprites and spec built, open-wheel cars like the Formula V competing in multiple 15-20 minute races throughout the day. You can watch from the grandstands on the front straight, or cross to the inside of the track and watch racers dive down the big hill into a technical series of turns.  If watching the races and the parade laps get your blood flowing, you can stop by PGP Motorsport Park, right on the track entrance road, to race go karts. Karts and helmets are provided (you can bring your own helmet, too).

Spectators Welcomed. Tickets available at the gate. Gates Open at 9AM  Adults 2-Day $15  1-Day $10   |    Seniors  $5   |   Juniors 13-17 $5,  (12 and under free)   Active Duty Military with ID FREE.
