It is with a heavy heart that we send out this announcement. Our beloved Lois Buhman passed away on the 26th of February. We will be celebrating her life on March 29, 2026, at 1:30 PM at the Mercer Island Congregational Church. See address below.

About
She was on Maui, a place where she felt at peace with the world. She lived by the motto:
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of dust, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming,
Wow, What a Ride!!”
We all know that Lois lived life to the fullest. She cherished Tweety, her Austin Healey, and the many fun times and great friends. She was hardly “used up” or “worn out”. Our Cascade Club is what it is today because of her lifelong contribution and enthusiasm.
We will be celebrating her life on March 29, 2026, at 1:30 PM at the Mercer Island Congregational Church, 4545 Island Crest Way, where her family were founding members.
